On January 2, 1997, Gold Coast showcased Cavalcade of Comedy in the 490-seat Dance Hall Showroom at the casino. On October 19, 1995, a Nevada truck driver won a jackpot of $10,918,881.00 on a Megabucks slots machine, the largest jackpot in Nevada history at the time. It was originally meant to cater to the fast growing local popularity.
